Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on multi‑disciplinary construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed estimates, monitoring budgets, and ensuring tender documents meet project requirements while supporting on‑site activities during the pre‑tender stage.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed quantity take‑offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and report variances to keep projects within financial limits.
• Support the tendering process by preparing documents, analysing bids, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administer construction contracts, process change orders, and resolve contractual disputes.
• Implement cost‑control measures, identify value‑engineering opportunities, and assess project risks.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure work complies with specifications.
• Prepare regular progress and cost reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving cost‑related disputes and support HSE initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in a relevant Quantity Surveying role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Experience in GCC projects is a plus.
