Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability, efficiency and safety of critical equipment and systems used in gasification and power production. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimise unplanned downtime and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve reliability and performance of critical plant equipment.
• Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and failure investigations to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Analyse operational and maintenance data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support reliability‑centred maintenance, FMEA and other reliability methodologies.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to optimise plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and industry best‑practice standards.
• Prepare reliability reports, recommendations and performance metrics for decision‑making.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects using data analysis and predictive‑maintenance technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• At least 6 years of experience in reliability, asset management or maintenance engineering within energy, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) are highly desirable.
• Experience with predictive‑maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermography, condition monitoring) is an advantage.

• Reliability Engineering principles, RCM, FMEA, TPM and RCA.
• Predictive and preventive maintenance program development.
• CMMS and maintenance management systems.
• Data analysis and performance‑monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of gasification and power‑generation equipment and processes.
