Roads Engineer – Full-time (m/f)

About the role

ARX is seeking a Roads Engineer to join its Riyadh office and contribute to the design and delivery of road and highway projects across the region. The role involves applying advanced engineering principles to create safe, efficient, and compliant transportation infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee road and highway layouts for diverse infrastructure projects.
• Perform and review geometric design, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, and pavement design.
• Ensure all designs meet Saudi Arabian regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate road systems into overall project designs.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation.
• Review technical deliverables from engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Liaise with government authorities, clients, and stakeholders to satisfy project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience on infrastructure projects with a focus on roads and highways.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Strong understanding of road and highway systems, including geometry, traffic, grading, intersections, and junctions.
