Roadway Engineer – Riyadh

About the role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Roadway Engineer to develop and review roadway improvement concepts for the Riyadh corridor. You will translate traffic‑management findings into safe, constructible designs that meet Saudi and international standards, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, preliminary and final design packages for roadway improvements.
• Prepare horizontal and vertical geometry, lane configurations, medians, turn lanes, ramps and intersection treatments.
• Convert corridor assessments, traffic studies and field observations into practical design solutions.
• Conduct site investigations and evaluate existing pavement, drainage, utilities, signage and pedestrian facilities.
• Apply current Saudi and internationally recognized roadway‑design standards throughout the design process.
• Produce sketches, plan layouts, design calculations, quantity take‑offs and technical notes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in highway and roadway engineering.
• Proven ability to progress designs from field observation to coordinated construction packages.
• Familiarity with Saudi roadway design criteria and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills applied to geometric and physical deficiencies.
