Rotating Engineer – Mechanical – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for a Rotating Engineer to join our team in Jubail. The role involves troubleshooting, process improvement and maintenance modifications on major rotating equipment in a petrochemical environment. The engineer will work independently, lead small project teams and collaborate with external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve chronic issues affecting equipment and plant availability.
• Provide first‑line supervision and act as a technical reference for junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare routine and non‑routine performance reports.
• Lead cross‑functional root‑cause‑analysis (RCA) investigations for major failures.
• Conduct reliability studies and recommend improvements to increase productivity and availability.
• Analyze oil analysis reports and challenge third‑party findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Strong command of business‑level written and spoken English.

Required skills

• CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification.
• Vibration analysis certification – CAT level II (preferred CAT level III).
• Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA) certificate – level II.
• Hands‑on expertise with extruders, high‑pressure reciprocating compressors (e.g., Hyper), steam turbines, centrifugal compressors (e.g., Mitsubishi) and gas turbines (e.g., Siemens SGT600).
• Proficiency in condition monitoring technologies and oil analysis interpretation.
• Experience conducting reliability studies and root‑cause analysis on rotating equipment.
