Sales Assistant

About the role

The Sales Assistant supports the sales and commercial team by handling routine account activities, coordinating internal processes and ensuring accurate record‑keeping. The role combines customer support, payment follow‑ups and office administration duties.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer accounts with routine operational and administrative tasks, including invoice and statement preparation.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, follow up on payments and escalate issues to senior sales staff.
• Prepare sales and performance reports, analyse trends and assist with forecasting activities.
• Maintain SAP master data for customers, ensuring accuracy of Ship‑To/Sold‑To records.
• Coordinate internal processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Handle office administration duties such as renewing licenses, managing vendors, equipment maintenance and translating Arabic documents.
• Support vendor management for office supplies, water, plant maintenance and cleaning services.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 3‑4 years of experience in technical sales support, customer service or commercial operations.
• Strong Arabic language skills.
• Proven ability to manage smaller customer accounts and develop account‑management skills.
• Demonstrated product knowledge and technical understanding of chemical applications.
