Security Guard – VEM

About the role

We are seeking a vigilant Security Guard to protect Viasat’s VEM property. The role involves monitoring visitors, patrolling the premises and responding quickly to any incidents to ensure a safe environment for employees and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols on foot or by vehicle, checking doors, windows and gates.
• Control access by verifying ID badges, greeting guests and preventing unauthorized entry.
• Monitor CCTV screens and alarm systems to detect suspicious or illegal activity.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents or security breaches and coordinate with police or ambulance services.
• Prepare clear daily reports documenting incidents, accidents or property damage.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid local security license or guard card.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and remain alert.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Calm demeanor and sound judgment under pressure.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring.
• Access control system operation.
• Basic first‑aid knowledge (preferred).
