Senior Accountant

About the role

The engineering consultancy in Jeddah seeks a Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle as the sole accountant. You will handle client invoicing, collections, supplier payments, payroll, statutory filings and month‑end close while supporting the group’s smaller entities.

Key responsibilities

• Issue tax invoices in Odoo, track receivables, prepare client statements and follow up overdue items.
• Process supplier invoices, expense claims, salary advances and manage petty cash and company card.
• Reconcile all bank accounts monthly and initiate payments via the bank platform.
• Prepare monthly payroll, wage protection system transfers, leave settlements and end‑of‑service benefits under Saudi Labour Law.
• File quarterly VAT returns, handle ZATCA e‑invoicing compliance and calculate withholding tax for non‑resident suppliers.
• Own month‑end and year‑end close, including journal entries, accruals, fixed‑asset depreciation and intercompany balances.
• Produce management reports on receivables ageing, cash position, revenue by project and unbilled work.
• Support accounting for smaller group entities and maintain master data in Odoo, with historic records in Zoho.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 6 years of full‑cycle accounting experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Hands‑on experience managing all accounting functions without supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi tax, ZATCA, VAT and labour law requirements.
