Senior Audit Professional – Utilities & Energy (Riyadh)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Audit professional to join Deloitte’s Utilities & Energy practice in Riyadh. The role involves leading audit engagements for clients in the utilities and energy sector, ensuring high‑quality delivery while navigating regulatory and risk considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding service level expectations and delivering audit services that meet regulatory and risk management requirements.
• Adapt and prepare referral instructions, define audit scope, and coordinate with on‑shore and off‑shore Centers of Excellence.
• Track deliverables from component auditors, link risks, controls and findings, and ensure audit quality milestones are met.
• Prepare audit documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and clearly separates accounting judgments from audit judgments.
• Apply AI tools and prompt‑engineering techniques to improve audit efficiency, while exercising professional scepticism over AI‑generated outputs.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of public audit experience, preferably with a Big‑Four firm.
• International accounting qualification desired (SOCPA, CA, ACCA, CPA).
• Fluent in English; bilingual Arabic/English preferred.
