Senior Bridge Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bridge Design Engineer to lead the design of bridge and viaduct structures for a major road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing all structural design activities, ensuring compliance with international standards, and providing technical support throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and review of bridge and viaduct structures in line with project requirements and international standards.
• Coordinate structural design tasks with multidisciplinary teams, consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, quality standards and project specifications.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve engineering challenges.
• Conduct design optimisation studies to improve constructability, cost efficiency and performance.
• Review and approve contractor and consultant submissions related to bridge design.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge design and structural engineering.
• Proven experience on highway, motorway or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international bridge design standards such as AASHTO and Eurocodes.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
