Senior Commercial Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Engineer to lead and coordinate commercial and contractual activities throughout the lifecycle of construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The role involves managing variations, claims, valuations, payment applications and final accounts while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate commercial and contractual activities across all project phases.
• Manage variations, claims, valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Review and certify payment applications from subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Administer sub‑contracts and ensure contractual compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance and Quantity Surveying teams.
• Prepare commercial reports and contractual correspondence.
• Support and guide the commercial team to deliver assigned activities on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, variations, claims, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.
