Senior Cost Control

About the role

The Senior Cost Control professional is responsible for planning, monitoring, analysing and controlling project costs to ensure delivery within the approved budget. The role works closely with project teams, finance, procurement and senior management to provide accurate cost forecasts, variance analysis and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Contracts Manager in establishing project cash‑flow and budget.
• Control project expenses and revenue to ensure conformity with cash‑flow and budget.
• Monitor deviations between budgeted figures and actual expenses.
• Add overhead and financial expenses to cash‑flow based on accounting reports.
• Track profitability of each project and consolidate cash‑flow statements and budgets.
• Estimate project receivables and payables, compute rework costs and shipped BOQ value.
• Prepare quarterly and yearly reports for the Ministry of Finance.
• Plan, implement and manage the accounting department, suggesting and executing improvements (automation, procedure changes, onboarding).
• Oversee company cash‑flow, control preparation of accounting and financial reports.
• Negotiate client contracts (excluding technical engineering details).
• Plan, order and conduct internal audits to ensure ISO standards are met.
• Analyse current processes and develop them to comply with ISO 9001‑2015 standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost control, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of project cash‑flow management.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams (project, finance, procurement).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and internal audit processes.
• Experience managing accounting functions and preparing reports for senior management and external bodies.
