Senior Data Center Operations Engineer – Cloud AI

About the role

Qualcomm’s Cloud AI team is building a vertically integrated hardware and software platform to accelerate AI inference at rack‑scale in modern data centers. We are looking for a Senior Data Center Operations Engineer to manage and support the Cloud AI data‑center environment in Riyadh, ensuring reliable deployment, provisioning, and maintenance of servers and virtual infrastructure. The role requires hands‑on administration of MAAS, virtual machines, and server operating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer MAAS servers, including deployment configuration, bare‑metal provisioning, image management, imaging workflows, and troubleshooting provisioning issues.
• Provision, configure, and support virtual machines, allocating compute, memory, storage, and network resources based on operational requirements.
• Install, patch, maintain, and troubleshoot server operating systems across bare‑metal and virtualized environments.
• Support day‑to‑day server resources, storage coordination, and resolve infrastructure incidents impacting Cloud AI operations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, provisioning, VM, storage, and infrastructure issues, escalating when necessary.
• Coordinate with internal Qualcomm teams, HUMAIN, and vendors for deployments, maintenance activities, incident response, and follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate inventory, deployment records, configuration data, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to improvements in monitoring, alerting, ticketing, and operational workflows; develop runbooks, checklists, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in incident reviews and translate lessons learned into practical process improvements.
• Serve as a trusted technical partner to Cloud AI software, systems, security, supply chain, and facilities teams.

Required profile

• Saudi national (mandatory).
• Senior‑level technical expertise with strong execution and practical troubleshooting judgment.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple internal and external teams.
• Disciplined ownership of documentation, inventory, and operational procedures.
• Experience in data‑center operations and infrastructure support.
