Senior General Ledger & Reporting Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead general ledger activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support audit and regulatory compliance for a food & beverage manufacturing and retail organization in Riyadh.

Key responsibilities

• Record and review journal entries, accruals, adjustments and perform monthly reconciliations for balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, coordinating with AP, AR and FP&A to verify transaction completeness.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, management reports and variance analyses in partnership with the FP&A function.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing schedules, reconciliations and documentation to ensure IFRS and governance compliance.
• Support VAT reconciliation, filing and tax reporting activities in collaboration with the tax team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred); professional certifications such as CA, CMA or ACCA are a plus.
• 5‑7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience, strong exposure to general ledger accounting and IFRS‑based environments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
