Senior Irrigation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Irrigation Engineer to lead the design, planning, and optimization of irrigation systems for large-scale landscaping and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive efficient and sustainable irrigation solutions from concept through execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, subsurface) for complex projects
• Perform and review hydraulic calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure zoning, and system optimization
• Oversee preparation of irrigation layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications
• Coordinate closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration
• Manage design coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary clashes
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and sustainability standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Support project teams during tendering, estimation, and value engineering stages
• Evaluate new technologies, materials, and suppliers to improve system efficiency and cost‑effectiveness
• Conduct site visits to support installation, testing, and commissioning of irrigation systems
• Identify risks and propose technical solutions to ensure timely project delivery

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field
• 8–12 years of experience in irrigation design, preferably within landscaping projects
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and RainCAD
• Proven experience in large‑scale landscape or infrastructure projects
• Experience in GCC projects is a strong advantage
