Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our construction team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role will lead the development and management of project schedules for large‑scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed‑use projects across the Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, covering baseline, procurement, design and construction phases.
• Monitor progress against approved baselines, identify variances, and report them promptly to senior management and clients.
• Analyse delays, critical activities and risks; develop recovery plans and revised schedules in collaboration with project managers and site teams.
• Coordinate schedule updates with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure accurate inputs.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, manpower reports and look‑ahead schedules.
• Review subcontractors’ programmes and track their performance against agreed milestones.
• Support the preparation of extension‑of‑time claims and delay analysis together with contracts and commercial teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of planning experience in the construction industry, preferably with major contractors.
• Proven track record on large‑scale building and infrastructure projects.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Expertise in project scheduling, baseline development, recovery planning and delay analysis.
