Senior Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Engineer to lead sourcing, contracting and supplier development activities for Alfanar Group’s China office. The role ensures the right materials, services and assets are purchased at the best price, quality and delivery terms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate suppliers to achieve cost‑saving, delivery and quality targets, including on‑site visits and performance reviews.
• Execute sourcing and contracting plans in line with Alfanar’s strategy, securing approved items, pricing, payment and delivery terms.
• Interpret purchase requests, manage RFx processes, negotiate conditions and issue purchase orders to selected vendors.
• Monitor order acknowledgements, delivery schedules and close purchase orders once materials are received.
• Maintain vendor master data, handle non‑conformities and drive corrective actions with internal teams.
• Adapt material specifications to market changes and support technical teams with alternative sourcing options.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or trading environments.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Strong understanding of commercial, legal and contractual compliance in purchasing.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
