Senior Project Engineer – Electrical Systems & SCADA

About the role

ETAP is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to lead site commissioning and technical delivery of electrical protection, control, and SCADA solutions in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. You will act as the technical lead, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and knowledge transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site commissioning, site acceptance testing (SAT) and factory acceptance testing for SCADA, PPC, MGC, and SPM systems.
• Develop, implement, test, and troubleshoot communication systems using protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, and IEC 60870‑5‑104.
• Provide technical leadership for power system protection and control engineering.
• Coordinate field installation of new or retrofit equipment and produce installation documentation.
• Design and implement SCADA software according to customer specifications, including renewable energy monitoring.
• Conduct strategic planning and analysis for short‑term and long‑term commissioning activities.
• Deliver on‑site customer training and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering professional with extensive experience in power system protection, control, and SCADA projects.
• Proven track record of leading site commissioning and acceptance testing in the renewable energy sector.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
