Senior Protection Testing Engineer – Jeddah

About the role

Siemens is looking for a Senior Protection Testing Engineer to join its Smart Infrastructure Customer Service division in Jeddah. The role focuses on testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of medium and low voltage protection systems for industrial power distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Siemens SIPROTEC 5 & 4 and Reyrolle protection relays.
• Handle ABB, GE and SEL protection relays.
• Test and maintain medium‑voltage switchgear, including CT, VT, CR tests and circuit‑breaker timing.
• Test and maintain low‑voltage switchgear, performing CT, VT and CR tests.
• Perform advanced protection function testing such as bus‑bar, distance and line/transformer differential protection.
• Troubleshoot high, medium and low voltage electrical systems and analyse faults to identify root causes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in protection testing and switchgear commissioning.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with proven technical expertise.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
