Senior QAQC Material Engineer

About the role

The Senior QAQC Material Engineer will ensure that all materials, equipment and construction activities for pipeline and reservoir projects meet the required quality standards, technical specifications and client expectations. This role safeguards asset integrity by overseeing inspection, testing and certification processes while guaranteeing compliance with local Saudi standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve material sub‑missions, supplier documentation and certificates of compliance against project specifications and standards.
• Supervise laboratory and on‑site testing of soils, concrete, steel, coatings, welds and pipelines.
• Maintain accurate records of material approvals, test certificates and quality control documentation for client handover.
• Identify non‑conformances early, recommend corrective actions and prevent costly rework or delays.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and promoting best practices in quality assurance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in QA/QC for material engineering in pipeline or reservoir projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi standards (NWC, EXPRO) and GCC regional quality regulations.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale material inspection and testing programmes.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Quality Management Systems certification
• Familiarity with Saudi standards NWC EXPRO requirements and GCC regional quality regulations
• Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP, AWS‑CWI)
• NACE or SSPC certification for coatings and corrosion protection
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
