About the role
Parsons is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost and commercial management on construction projects. The role involves overseeing budgeting, cost control and contract administration from the early design stage through to project completion, ensuring financial performance aligns with client expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Measure and price works using contract drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
- Manage post‑contract QS activities including interim and final payments, variations, cash‑flow forecasts and claims.
- Provide contractual advice, audit contractor payments and verify completeness of valuations.
- Prepare and monitor variations, day‑works and final cost estimates.
- Maintain expenditure records, review and negotiate claim settlements, and produce monthly financial statements.
- Lead and coordinate a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring timely delivery of all QS deliverables.
- Support contractor resource allocation and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on international projects.
- Proven ability to lead a QS team and oversee all aspects of cost management.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, payment applications and claim processes.
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
