Senior System Engineer - Windows

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Senior System Engineer specialized in Windows environments to join its growing team. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of Windows servers and related management tools, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows systems and system management tools.
• Manage Windows Backup, imaging, and Veeam Backup solutions.
• Configure and maintain HP, Dell, and Nutanix hardware servers.
• Implement and manage VMware and Nutanix AOS environments, including vCenter and Prism Central.
• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and OCI.
• Apply Windows patches, firmware, and software updates promptly.
• Set up advanced Domain Controller settings, including Cross‑Forest Trusts.
• Deploy and manage Remote Desktop Services (RD Broker, RD Gateway, RD Web).
• Install, configure, and maintain IT security tools using automated deployment methods.
• Implement system hardening and PCI‑DSS security controls.
• Provide Tier 3 support locally and remotely, participate in on‑call rotation, and assist L1/L2 teams.
• Monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and maintain asset inventory and license renewals.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of systems administration/engineering experience in cloud, virtualization, or managed‑service environments.
• MCSE or MCITP certification.
• VMware (VCP) or Nutanix (NCP) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of PCI‑DSS compliance.
