Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer will lead the testing, inspection and commissioning of water infrastructure systems for AECOM projects. This role requires deep technical knowledge of water treatment, distribution and hydraulic systems, and the ability to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and commissioning of water treatment, distribution and hydraulic facilities.
• Conduct independent walk‑downs and inspections of installed infrastructure to verify conformance with design and regulatory requirements.
• Execute quantity surveys and material tracking for water system components and report findings to project management.
• Provide technical direction to junior technicians, drafters and field personnel on testing protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate system performance, water quality parameters and operational readiness before handover.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in water infrastructure testing, commissioning or related engineering.
• Strong background in water treatment, distribution and hydraulic system design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of water quality testing protocols, regulatory standards and commissioning procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and guiding teams.
• Preferred: PE or EIT certification, SCADA experience, and project management exposure on capital water projects.
