Senior Traffic Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will lead traffic engineering and traffic management activities on major transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, local regulations, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor traffic engineering and traffic management during construction phases.
• Review and evaluate Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), traffic diversions, temporary road layouts, and work‑zone traffic control measures.
• Coordinate with contractors, clients, local authorities, and project stakeholders to maintain smooth traffic operations.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved designs and safety requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and traffic impact assessments.
• Monitor and report traffic‑related risks, incidents, and mitigation measures.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
• Liaise with municipal and transportation authorities for permits and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 12‑15 years of professional experience in traffic engineering and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and consultancy environments.
• Strong site supervision experience on roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, and utility corridors.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian standards and international traffic engineering practices.
• Membership of a recognized professional engineering institution is advantageous.
