Senior Traffic Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join a new PMO focused on major highway and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will lead traffic‑related design activities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, efficient transportation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee traffic signal, junction, temporary works and related traffic engineering designs.
• Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budgets for each traffic design task.
• Provide regular written and verbal project status updates to the Project Manager.
• Present technical results and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Lead the preparation of traffic engineering plans, including signal designs, signing and marking, intersection concepts, and ITS designs.
• Coordinate with surveyors, roadway designers and other experts to integrate traffic control plans.
• Conduct and document traffic studies using nationally accepted modeling practices.
• Assist engineers in technical approaches and review their outputs.
• Mentor junior engineers and share consultancy expertise.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant traffic engineering experience.
• Proven experience on large‑scale highway or infrastructure projects.
