Senior/Lead Java Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior/Lead Java Engineer to join its Al Khobar office. You will work on innovative software platforms, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, user‑centric solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software platforms that provide seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to design and implement new features.
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in partnership with the broader engineering team.
• Maintain engineering excellence through test‑driven development and continuous integration practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven Java development experience.
• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently and managing tasks.

Required skills

• Core Java, including multithreading, garbage collection tuning, and concurrency collections.
• Experience building real‑time event‑driven applications.
• Proficiency with Angular for front‑end development.
• Working knowledge of Spring for back‑end services.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
