Showroom Accountant

About the role

Soum is seeking a Showroom Accountant to oversee the financial operations of its cars business. The role involves managing cash, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, VAT compliance, and month‑end closing while acting as the primary liaison between the showroom and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all cash and bank transactions, issue receipts, and perform daily reconciliations.
• Maintain inventory ledgers, record daily movements, conduct stock counts, and provide month‑end inventory sign‑off.
• Record costs per centre, manage VAT treatment for every transaction, and ensure accurate filings.
• Own supplier ledgers, prepare statements, and reconcile inventory value with pricing analysts.
• Track marketing expenditures against approvals and budgets.
• Support ad‑hoc finance requests from the CFO and board, and oversee finance reporting dashboards.
• Identify manual steps, drive automation, and document standardized processes.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in an automotive or e‑commerce environment.
• ACC​A or part‑qualified CA (or equivalent professional qualification).
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
