Site Engineer – Construction Project Management

About the role

The Site Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will coordinate on‑site activities, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and act as the technical bridge between design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in project planning, including site layout, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Supervise on‑site work, monitor progress, enforce quality control, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Manage procurement, delivery, and storage of materials and equipment to meet project timelines.
• Implement and document quality control measures, progress reports, site records, and as‑built drawings.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce protocols, and drive corrective actions.
• Track project costs, identify savings, and support budget compliance.
• Communicate project status to clients and stakeholders, addressing concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, structural design, and building materials.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to address technical challenges on site.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse project participants.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using project management software.
• Familiarity with surveying instruments.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
