Site Reliability Engineer Manager (SREM)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Site Reliability Engineer Manager to lead reliability, performance, and efficiency initiatives across our engineering organization. You will bridge development and operations, applying software engineering principles to build fault‑tolerant, secure infrastructure that meets strict financial and data compliance standards in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Define, measure, and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to balance feature velocity with system stability.
• Design, build, and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS, GCP or Azure using IaC tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, failover, and deployment to eliminate manual toil.
• Lead incident management, participate in on‑call rotations, and conduct blameless post‑mortems.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or ELK stack.
• Partner with development teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines for speed, safety, and reliability.
• Collaborate with security to enforce KSA regulations (SAMA, NCA, PDPL) and ensure data localization.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps or SRE, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
• Deep hands‑on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid programming skills in Go, Python or Java.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).
• Deep understanding of Linux, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing) and distributed systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is a plus.
