Site Reliability Engineering Officer

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineering Officer will ensure the stability and performance of our digital platforms by providing incident support, operating the Elastic Observability stack, and collaborating with Platform Engineering and Application Development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for application incidents and manage tickets in Jira/ServiceNow.
• Operate and monitor Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fleet Server, APM Server and Elastic Agent deployed via ECK on OKE.
• Perform Elasticsearch day‑to‑day tasks such as ILM, SLM, data‑tier housekeeping and capacity monitoring.
• Troubleshoot telemetry ingestion issues for logs, metrics, traces and synthetic monitors.
• Maintain Kibana dashboards, alerts and saved objects under SRE Manager guidance.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, blameless post‑incident reviews and report MTTD/MTTR metrics.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve deployment pipelines using Terraform, Helm and scripting.
• Create and update runbooks, support documentation and knowledge‑base articles.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and work with vendors to raise observability and security maturity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, DevOps or SRE.
• Familiarity with observability tools, especially the Elastic Stack.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and scripting (Bash, Python or Go).
• Understanding of monitoring, logging and alerting concepts.
• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk) and ITIL practices.
• Basic experience with cloud‑native environments, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent critical‑thinking, troubleshooting and communication skills.
