About the role

The Specialist, Data Steward is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency and reliability of the organization’s data across all systems and processes. The role focuses on maintaining data quality standards, enforcing governance policies and monitoring compliance with data management practices. The Data Steward also works to define data rules and standards that align with organizational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor data quality standards to guarantee accurate and reliable data.
• Enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with established data management practices.
• Collaborate with business units, IT security and data owners to resolve data issues, define rules and support proper usage of critical data assets.
• Classify data correctly to reduce risks associated with poor data management.
• Enable data‑driven decision‑making by treating data as a trusted, strategic asset.
