Specialist I, Cybersecurity

About the role

The Senior Specialist, Cybersecurity leads the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of advanced security solutions to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and information assets. The role provides senior technical expertise across security engineering, threat detection, vulnerability management, architecture, and incident response while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as NCA Cybersecurity Controls and PDPL.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/XDR, DLP, IAM, and PAM.
• Develop and enhance security architecture for on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security hardening of systems.
• Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and coordinate remediation.
• Ensure controls align with NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls, PDPL, and support audit activities.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and evaluate new security technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity engineering, threat detection, or cyber operations.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security, CEH, CySA+, Microsoft AZ‑500, SC‑200/SC‑300, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE.
