Specifications Engineer – Electrical Automation

About the role

The client seeks a Specifications Engineer to join their sales team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on promoting product specifications to engineering consulting firms and converting consultant‑generated leads into revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Promote company product specifications to engineering consulting companies and conduct technical presentations.
• Ensure inclusion of products in project specifications and tender documents.
• Provide design solutions and tailored insights to meet consultants’ project needs.
• Follow up on leads generated through consulting firms and collaborate with Area Sales Managers to convert them into sales.
• Build and maintain relationships with consultants and key customers, acting as the primary technical liaison.
• Assist in contract and pricing negotiations and gather market insights to refine strategies.
• Coordinate with internal Sales, Marketing and Engineering teams to align efforts and hand over specifications and leads.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the electrical automation industry.
• Background in specifications marketing and business development.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical automation products and related systems (HVAC, BMS, ELV).
