Static Technician – Levels I to III

About the role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions is seeking experienced Static Technicians at Levels I, II and III to support oil & gas asset maintenance. The role involves executing installation, maintenance and testing tasks in accordance with SATORP procedures while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive work orders, drawings and specifications from the supervisor and execute the tasks.
• Select and operate the appropriate tools and heavy‑duty specialized equipment from the central tool room.
• Operate basic machine tools such as grinders, power saws, drill presses and threading machines.
• Perform installation and maintenance activities following SATORP guidelines.
• Conduct hydro and pneumatic testing as required.
• Obtain necessary work permits before commencing work.
• Maintain strict compliance with SATORP safety standards and report near‑misses or unsafe conditions.
• Consult supervisors on technical issues and ensure good housekeeping before and after job completion.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–6 years of maintenance experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management for oil & gas facilities.

Required skills

• Operation of grinder, power saw, drill press and threading machine.
• Hydro testing and pneumatic testing.
• Use of heavy‑duty specialized tools.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Compliance with safety, health and environment procedures.
