Storage Backup Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Storage & Backup Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will manage enterprise storage environments, backup and recovery operations, and ensure data protection and disaster recovery processes meet high‑availability, performance, and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SAN, NAS, and DAS storage platforms, monitoring capacity, performance, and health.
• Perform storage provisioning, zoning, LUN management, and support capacity‑planning initiatives.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, including monitoring, validation, testing, and recovery drills.
• Troubleshoot storage and backup incidents, coordinate with vendors and MSPs, and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with data‑protection, encryption, and regulatory retention policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, generate utilization and performance reports, and support audit activities.
• Participate in projects like storage expansion, data migration, and cloud integration, providing technical expertise for vendor assessments and RFPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
• Strong background with Dell EMC and HPE storage platforms.
• Experience with backup technologies, disaster‑recovery planning, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Familiarity with cloud storage services in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
