Structural Inspector – Road & Highway Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Structural Inspector to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on inspecting road and highway structures, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized inspections of bridges, flyovers, underpasses, tunnels, retaining walls, culverts and related installations.
• Verify that construction works follow approved IFC drawings, technical specifications and method statements.
• Perform visual checks, dimensional measurements and non‑destructive testing (NDT) on concrete and steel elements.
• Monitor concrete activities such as formwork, reinforcement, concreting, post‑tensioning and curing.
• Record inspection data, issue non‑conformance reports and prepare detailed progress and condition reports.
• Coordinate daily inspection activities with contractors, consultants and project managers.
• Support project engineers in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals and work inspection requests.
• Participate in site meetings with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a structural focus.
• Minimum 7 years (84 months) of experience in structural inspection of road and highway projects.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, ASCE, FHWA, ASTM and local authority standards.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
