Studio Practice Leader

About the role

The Studio Practice Leader will head the newly‑established Riyadh studio of a globally recognised architecture practice. Reporting to senior management, the role combines client engagement, project oversight, business development and operational leadership to drive the firm’s growth across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the set‑up and day‑to‑day operation of the Riyadh studio.
• Integrate people, projects and operational infrastructure to build a successful KSA business.
• Develop and maintain senior‑level client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
• Leverage an existing network to identify and win projects.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring appropriate resources as workload expands.
• Navigate Saudi regulatory, statutory and approval processes.
• Manage financial performance, reporting, compliance and overall studio operations.
• Recruit, mentor and develop the local team.
• Represent the practice externally with cultural awareness and credibility.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in architecture, design, construction consultancy or development.
• Proven track record in business development, client engagement and winning work.
• Successful operating experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC.
• Established network of clients, developers, consultants and industry contacts within KSA.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi market, regulatory environment and approval processes.
• Excellent leadership, commercial and communication skills.
• Degree in architecture or a related discipline preferred.
• Arabic language skills and cultural fluency highly advantageous.
