Sushi Chef

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Sushi Chef to join the culinary team at Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality sushi and other menu items while maintaining the restaurant’s standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, and store food items according to recipes.
• Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix fresh fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Cook and assemble dishes, ensuring compliance with quality, presentation, and food‑preparation checklists.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Test foods for doneness and monitor food quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies, and report any hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and communicate clearly with team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of related food‑preparation or culinary experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift objects up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
• Willingness to follow all company safety, security, and hygiene procedures.
