Technical Director – Construction Supervision

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead construction supervision for major infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The role provides strategic technical leadership, ensuring projects meet design, quality, and regulatory standards while driving innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical direction during the construction supervision phase of large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Act as senior technical authority, guaranteeing compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead technical reviews, design coordination, constructability assessments, and develop engineering solutions for complex challenges.
• Support Project Directors and Managers to deliver technically sound and commercially successful outcomes.
• Oversee multidisciplinary engineering and construction supervision teams, ensuring consistency and quality of deliverables.
• Review and approve technical submissions, reports, methodologies, and key project documentation.
• Interface with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders on technical matters.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and best‑practice adoption across projects.
• Mentor and develop technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Assist business development with technical proposals, bid submissions, and client presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, construction supervision, and project delivery.
• Proven track record of technical leadership on large‑scale transportation, roads, utilities, water, or urban development projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
• Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in an international consultancy environment is highly desirable.
