Technical & Engineering Solutions Director (Solar Power)

About the role

We are looking for a Technical & Engineering Solutions Director to lead our solar power division in Riyadh. The role oversees the full lifecycle of solar PV projects across residential, agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors, ensuring high‑efficiency, reliable and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and approve technical specifications for advanced solar modules (N‑Type, TOPCon, HJT) and monitor market efficiency limits.
• Select and audit inverters and variable‑frequency drives for agricultural water pumping, optimizing MPPT performance under harsh conditions.
• Design thermal insulation and cooling enclosures to protect inverters and battery banks from extreme temperatures.
• Specify DC/AC cabling, perform voltage‑drop and power‑loss calculations to maximize plant performance ratio.
• Prepare detailed electrical and mechanical blueprints for projects ranging from rooftop systems to large‑scale plants over 400 kW.
• Use simulation tools for yield assessment, string configuration, shading and temperature degradation analysis.
• Develop robust structural mounting systems and galvanized steel foundations suitable for high wind and desert dust.
• Lead procurement, draft technical specifications and RFPs, and conduct techno‑economic studies (LCOE, ROI) for investors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering or Electrical Engineering (Power & Energy Systems).
• Preferred Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering or Engineering Project Management.
• PMP certification and recognized solar certifications (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in solar PV design, engineering and project delivery.
