Technical FACTs/Statcom/HVDC Expert

About the role

The Technical FACTs/Statcom/HVDC Expert provides post‑sales technical support for grid transmission equipment, handling issues from simple troubleshooting to complex field repairs. The role works across the MEA region, linking global product teams with local customers to ensure reliable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the resolution of post‑sales technical customer issues, covering Level 1, 2 and 3 support.
• Perform repairs, both returns and field service, and respond to technical service requests.
• Lead technical challenges and propose solutions for new HVDC, Statcom and FACTS projects as well as the existing installed base.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, influence policy, and ensure delivery within the assigned business unit.
• Interpret business challenges, recommend best practices, and drive improvements in products, processes, and services.
• Manage and develop technical talent, attracting and mentoring senior professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with HVDC, Statcom and FACTS projects and service activities.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across the MEA region.
• Strong knowledge of grid transmission equipment and industry trends.
