Technical Office Engineer (MEP)

About the role

Mobco Group is looking for an experienced Technical Office Engineer specialized in Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) systems to support prestigious hospitality and high‑rise projects in Riyadh and Jeddah. The role involves overseeing technical office activities, coordinating designs, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring all engineering documentation meets project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and coordinate mechanical or electrical shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare and evaluate technical submittals, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs.
• Collaborate with consultants, designers, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
• Identify design conflicts, constructability concerns, and coordination issues in IFC drawings.
• Support engineering and construction teams with technical solutions and recommendations.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Monitor design changes and ensure proper implementation across project activities.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Assist in quantity take‑offs, variation orders, and technical evaluations.
• Support procurement through technical review and approval of materials and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of technical office engineering experience on construction projects.
• Proven experience in hospitality and high‑rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, engineering standards, and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with local Saudi regulations and international codes.
