Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist will provide on‑site and remote IT support for the drilling department of a leading Saudi mining company. The role focuses on troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, maintaining system performance and ensuring minimal downtime in a demanding mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to drilling and site personnel.
• Install and configure hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot IT equipment, network and system issues.
• Support field data collection devices and maintain IT inventory.
• Respond promptly to user service requests and maintain help‑desk records.
• Monitor network performance, ensure cybersecurity measures and perform system updates.
• Assist in setting up site communication systems and remote connectivity solutions.
• Conduct user training, backup and data recovery processes, and coordinate with vendors.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of technical support experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Basic English proficiency.
