Telephone Operator – Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a Telephone Operator to join the Guest Services team at a leading hotel in Jeddah. The role involves handling all incoming and outgoing guest calls, ensuring timely and accurate communication, and supporting guests with their requests.

Key responsibilities

• Answer, record, log and process guest calls, requests, questions and concerns.
• Operate the telephone switchboard, manage wake‑up calls, call forwarding, conference calls, TDD relay and non‑registered guest calls.
• Advise guests of messages, monitor busy or unanswered lines and offer to take messages.
• Activate or deactivate guest room message lights and assist guests with internet access.
• Test communications equipment, respond to special guest requests and coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve issues.
• Dispatch bell or valet staff as needed and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain uniform standards, confidentiality and compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior experience required; ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Good communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.

Required skills
