Track & Third Rail CAD Operator

About the role

Join Alstom’s railway team to support the design and integration of Track & 3rd Rail systems for the Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce high‑quality CAD drawings and BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and update Track & 3rd Rail CAD drawings, layouts, sections and installation details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for trackwork and 750 V DC third‑rail systems.
• Manage design information within the Common Data Environment (CDE) and apply project codification and document control processes.
• Coordinate interfaces with Civil Works, MEP, Signalling, Communications and Traction Power disciplines.
• Perform model federation, clash detection and clearance verification using Navisworks.
• Support multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and incorporate engineering comments, site conditions and project requirements.
• Ensure consistency between drawings, BIM models and approved design documentation.
• Provide updated drawings, model extracts and technical drafting support to construction and delivery teams during installation and testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, BIM modelling or technical engineering on railway infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of trackwork and 3rd‑rail systems and their interfaces with civil and other railway systems.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and ProjectWise.
