Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Finance team at Arena Fitness Innovation in Jeddah. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling daily accounting operations, ensuring VAT compliance, and supporting reporting and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process all financial transactions, including assets, liabilities, expenses, equity and revenue.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and apply proper accounting treatment for prepaid expenses, accruals, provisions, deferred and earned revenue.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, process payments and perform vendor reconciliations.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing cycles.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure accurate VAT recording, filing and reporting.
• Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to support management decisions.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all financial data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CA, ACCA or MBA is a plus).
• Minimum three years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and VAT regulations.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Odoo or QuickBooks.
