Accounting Lead – Saudi Arabia

About the role

The Accounting Lead will oversee the accounting function for Otis ME entities in Saudi Arabia, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and external standards. Reporting to finance leadership, the role drives process excellence and supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare financial statements.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments.
• Analyze variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Mentor and develop the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) team, allocate work and monitor performance.
• Identify automation opportunities, drive standardisation and participate in ERP implementations.
• Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax and business units to provide financial insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional certification such as CMA preferred.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Financial close and reporting expertise.
• General ledger management and reconciliation.
• Intercompany accounting and consolidation.
• Experience with ERP/system implementations.
