Area Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations

About the role

As an Area Manager in a fulfillment center, you will lead a large, diverse team to ensure operations keep pace with customer demand. This hands‑on position offers exposure to the complexity of a global logistics business and the opportunity to drive safety, productivity, and quality across multiple shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the area.
• Analyse performance data, implement corrective actions, and maintain high quality and productivity standards.
• Support and lead a team, handling administrative tasks while fostering a strong team culture.
• Identify process improvements, optimise workflows, and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes and coordinate with external partners.
• Monitor safety standards, process efficiency, and manage daily operational tasks, escalations, and contingency planning.

Required profile

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Preferred: 1+ year experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
