Area Sales Manager – Modern Trade (Riyadh/Jeddah)

About the role

Our client, a leading global FMCG food company, is seeking two Field Area Managers to lead sales operations in Riyadh and Jeddah. The role focuses on driving regional sales growth, modern trade execution, and strong customer relationships across key retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Own and achieve regional sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead, coach, and develop a field sales team.
• Manage modern trade and key‑account relationships, ensuring optimal outlet coverage.
• Drive in‑store execution, including product availability, visibility, planograms and merchandising standards.
• Develop and optimise call plans and route‑to‑market strategies.
• Execute promotions, seasonal campaigns and other commercial initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback, providing regular performance reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales productivity and service levels.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with proven team‑leadership.
• Strong background in FMCG, food, beverage or consumer goods.
• Demonstrated success in modern trade, key‑account management and merchandising.
• Experience in the Saudi Arabian market is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Fluent Arabic and English.
