Assistant Manager – Restaurants

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Restaurants supports daily restaurant operations, menu planning, and service standards across restaurants, bars, and room service. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Chef to ensure high guest satisfaction and efficient team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations, open and close the restaurant, and ensure all supplies, equipment, and uniforms are available.
• Monitor food quality, service levels, and compliance with restaurant policies and local alcohol regulations.
• Handle employee queries, provide performance feedback, and coach staff on service behaviors.
• Manage budgeting targets, track financial performance, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve complaints, and promote exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate training initiatives, conduct on‑the‑job coaching, and ensure staff understand performance expectations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to supervise a team, manage daily operations, and maintain high standards of sanitation and service.
